Giant and impressive yet elegant Perignem vase.
The semi transparent brown, yellow and green glazes used on a heavy chamotte (grog) clay result in subtle colour variations...
Made around 1970.

Perignem : Red Drop-Shape Vase 1960's

One could say that this 'drop-shape' is a typical shape for early Perignem vases. In general we aren't looking for any more red vases in our collection ( how many red vases can a man have ? ) but we do fall for these exceptional drop-shaped vases.... in any colour or decor....
Early production, perfectly balanced size, shape and curves ! Selenium red glaze.

Large sculpture of a 'boy with shell' created by Elie Van Damme for Amphora.
This sculpture perfectly demonstrates the big difference between a genuine Amphora sculpture and the so called 'E.L signed' sculptures wich are NOT by Elie Van Damme. E.L stands for Emiel Laskaris....
There is a clear & noticeable difference in design and glaze. Amphora glazes can often be recognized by their artistic 'imperfections' and subtle colour variations....
Height ca 45 cm. Black metallic glaze, moulded.
