XL Amphora "vessel" Vase by Rogier Vandeweghe 1960's
Stunning large vase with half closed top. This form was first created by Rogier Vandeweghe for the ceramics competition in Faenza (1964) where he won the Gold Medal....
Same as the flute vases with tulip top, this form remained for a long time in the Amphora catalogue...
Metallic black glaze with lavender and mint leaf-details.
In perfect condition, signed with the Amphora shield stamp on the side.
Height ca 40 cm.
